Volunteer Training Schedule

All volunteers who help care for Arkansas Hospice patients are trained and certified. Topics covered during training include:

  • The history and philosophy of hospice
  • The hospice team process
  • Patient care and comfort
  • Communication skills
  • The psycho-social dynamics of death and dying

There is no cost for this training, which is held at Arkansas Hospice offices throughout the year. Please check back to see information on the next available session or email hhawkins@arkansashospice.org.
