Our Family of Care

For decades, Arkansans have turned to Arkansas Hospice when they hear the devastating news that a loved one’s time is limited. As the state’s largest nonprofit provider of hospice services, our mission is to surround these patients, caregivers and families with the best possible care.

Now, our Family of Care is growing to help more Arkansans improve their quality of life. Building on our legacy of comfort and compassion, we’re providing expert care in more ways to help our fellow Arkansans live better lives, where they are, as they navigate their healthcare journey.

Arkansas Hospice

The state’s largest nonprofit provider of care. With a service area spanning 48 of the state’s 75 counties and more than three decades of care, thousands of patients and their families have been touched by Arkansas Hospice’s compassionate award-winning care. Providing not only clinical care directly to patients in their homes, nursing homes, senior living facilities, contracted area hospitals and our Ottenheimer inpatient center, we are known for our renowned patient and community-based grief support, pediatric care, volunteer services and Committed to Veterans program.

Arkansas Palliative Care

Since 2016, Arkansas Palliative Care has been providing comfort and support beyond treatment for patients. Helping patients and their families manage life with a serious or chronic illness, care is provided by a team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare specialists. Palliative care is very similar to hospice care. The difference is that palliative care is available at any stage of a patient’s chronic or serious illness. Patients receiving palliative care can also still continue to receive curative treatment.

Arkansas Advanced Care

Providing in-home primary care for seniors, Arkansas Advanced Care brings patient care to patients who are unable to travel to the doctor. Available for patients on Medicare Part A and Part B, this new service line is growing in coverage areas providing house calls, telehealth, medical exams and 24/7 support – all built on the legacy of compassion our Family of Care is known for.

First Choice Senior Care

The newest member of our Family of Care, First Choice Senior Care provides excellence in in-home care. With a personal, unique approach to every client and in-depth assessment process, services are custom-tailored for each client and their family’s needs. Services including companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, basic errands, medication reminders, personal care, exercise regimens and more are provided. As with all our Family of Care services, First Choice Senior Care is provided where you are in the home, senior community and assisted living care facilities, and even hospitals.

Arkansas Hospice Foundation

Providing financial resources to meet needs that are not met through traditional reimbursement resources are at the heart of the Arkansas Hospice Foundation. Through donor gifts and memorials, our keynote annual event, Party at the Plaza, grants and more, our foundation plays a pivotal roll in raising the support needed to sustain the programs in our Family of Care. Patients in need also directly benefit in numerous ways such as being provided funds for emergency family travel, restoring utility services and repairs for gas and water in patient’s homes, and simple joys such as one last fishing trip, a makeover for a pediatric patient, a modest family event at a local amusement park, cake and punch for an in-home graduation, and so much more.
