North Little Rock, Ark. – Arkansas Hospice is brightening the holidays for patients facing life-limiting illnesses through its Season of Giving Elf Squad.
“Joining the Elf Squad is a wonderful way to bring joy to our patients,” said Harriet Hawkins, Arkansas Hospice’s Director of Volunteers. “Every year, we have patients who request items like socks, slippers, blankets, large-print puzzle books or personal care items. While these items might seem simple, they can make a big difference for our fellow Arkansans facing life-limiting illnesses.”
There are two ways to join the Arkansas Hospice Elf Squad:
“It’s our goal to deliver a gift to as many patients as possible this holiday season,” Hawkins said. “Whether you prefer to do the shopping yourself or to donate online, your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
As the state’s largest non-profit provider of hospice services, Arkansas Hospice cares for nearly 600 patients in more than 40 counties. The Elf Squad is part of the Arkansas Hospice Volunteer program in conjunction with the Arkansas Hospice Foundation’s Season of Giving, which continues through Dec. 31 to increase awareness and raise funds for the mission of Arkansas Hospice.
